Arsenal’s Europa League group stage opponents confirmed
Arsenal have been drawn with Rapid Wien, Molde and Dundalk in the group stages of the Europa League.
The Gunners will get their campaign underway on October 22 and will hope to advance further than the round of 32, the stage they reached last season.
Rivals Tottenham have also qualified for the group stages of the competition, and they will play Ludogorets, LASK and Antwerp in Group J.
Arteta ‘very happy’ with club’s transfer market approach amid Aouar and Partey speculation
The Gunners continue to be linked with a move for Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar and are expected to make another bid having seen their first offer – worth £36.4million with a further £9.1million in add-ons – rejected.
Atletico Madrid’s Thomas Partey is also believed to be a target, and Arteta has suggested there could be more additions before the close of the transfer window on Monday.
“I am very happy because the way we are acting around the market and the squad, the link between myself, Edu and the board is really good,” he said.
“After, in a deal you have three or four parties involved but I’m really happy with the link at the moment.
“We are trying our maximum, full support from the owners.
“With what we have, believe me, we will try our best.”
