The Gunners have kept themselves relatively busy in the window so far, but it seems as if they are still after one or two more players before the European deadline next Monday.
It’s been an impressive start to the 2020/21 season, but Arteta is well aware of the areas of his squad that need improving.
Here, we have gathered three of the very latest transfer stories concerning Arsenal.
Gunners to battle for wonderkid Luna
Arsenal are set to battle it out with several top European clubs for the signing of Argentine sensation Alex Luna.
The 16-year-old plays for Atletico Rafaela in Argentina, and any deal struck now would see the teenager arrive in 2022, according to the Daily Mirror.
The Gunners are just one of several clubs keen on the young forward – with AC Milan, Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, Atletico Madrid, Bayern Munich, Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United also interested.
Luna scored 16 goals for Rafaela in 2020, before the season was stopped due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Aouar ‘keen’ on move to Arsenal
Lyon star Houssem Aouar is keen on a move to Arsenal this summer, according to a report in The Athletic.
The report states that the Gunners are aiming to complete one more deal before the window shuts next week, and that will be either Thomas Partey or Aouar.
As it stands, the French midfielder looks more likely, with Lyon wanting to sell in order to raise funds, and the player is “thought to be keen” on a move to the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal made their first offer for Aouar last week – before it was rejected – but they are now preparing a second bid, the report claims.
Gunners ‘target’ could be sold in ‘next few days’
Lille star Boubakary Soumare could be sold in the “next few days”, according to the French club’s president Gerard Lopez.

Lopez, when speaking to France Bleu, has given an update on the future of the reported Arsenal target, and it seems like a positive one for Gunners supporters.
Back in August, FootMercato linked Arteta’s side with a move for the midfield powerhouse, who is valued at £43m.
The Lille president said: “He can leave in the next few days.”
