Injury boost ahead of Liverpool clash

The club confirmed that both Kieran Tierney and Emile Smith Rowe are back in full training after suffering slight injuries to rule them out of the West Ham win.
A club statement noted on Tierney: “Tight left groin before West Ham United (h) on Saturday, September 19. Now back in full training.”
Meanwhile, on Smith Rowe the club noted that he should be back in full training soon.
“Sustained an injury to his right shoulder in training. Now out of protective sling and aiming to return to full training within the next week,” the club stated.
Klopp delivers injury news ahead of Monday’s showdown
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has delivered a boost for Arsenal before Monday night’s showdown.
The Reds will host the Gunners on Monday with two wins from two in the league – most recently beating Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
However, Klopp provided a mixed set of results regarding injury news to key players – confirming Joe Gomez will be fit but Jordan Henderson and others will not be present, including former Arsenal star Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
When asked about Thiago Alcantara’s fitness, Klopp added : “We will see, we will see,” he added. “We have a few days to train, some boys have to recover from last night, so we will see how we set up against Arsenal.
“I have an idea, but why should I make the decision today when we have time until Monday? But he is in contention, for sure. Yeah, let’s see.”

Writing in this weekly column for The Times, Souness outlined the key ways in which Pepe has yet to acclimatise to the Premier League.
He said : “I still see a player in Nicolas Pepe, too, and I’m hoping he has a big year because he’s not really grasped the intensity and physicality of the Premier League yet.”
