Klopp delivers injury news ahead of Monday’s showdown

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has delivered a boost for Arsenal before Monday night’s showdown.

The Reds will host the Gunners on Monday with two wins from two in the league – most recently beating Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

However, Klopp provided a mixed set of results regarding injury news to key players – confirming Joe Gomez will be fit but Jordan Henderson and others will not be present, including former Arsenal star Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

When asked about Thiago Alcantara’s fitness, Klopp added : “We will see, we will see,” he added. “We have a few days to train, some boys have to recover from last night, so we will see how we set up against Arsenal.

“I have an idea, but why should I make the decision today when we have time until Monday? But he is in contention, for sure. Yeah, let’s see.”
