Zidane rejects Alli move for comments made in 2017
Zinedine Zidane has reportedly rejected a loan move for Spurs midfielder Dele Alli because of comments made by the England international back in 2017.
According to Spanish publication AS, cited here, the Real Madrid boss rejected a move due to Alli saying that he ‘should’ve scored a hat-trick’ against the La Liga side in 2017.
It is claimed in the report that Zidane was unimpressed by those comments.
After scoring against Real Madrid, Alli said: “I’m disappointed I didn’t get the hat-trick to be honest. I had an easy chance at the end from a great ball in by Kieran [Trippier].”
Bale and Reguilon can transform Mourinho’s Spurs
The arrival of Real Madrid duo Gareth Bale and Sergio Reguilon has the potential to transform Jose Mourinho’s Spurs side.
football.london understands that Bale will complete a loan move back to north London with Spurs paying around 40 per cent of his wages and Real Madrid covering the remaining amount.
Reguilon, meanwhile, is expected to put pen to paper on a deal which will include a buy-back clause. As Alasdair Gold writes, however, that partly shows just how confident Spurs are that the 23-year-old full-back will make an instant impact at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
While both players may be at different stages in their career, they stand as an exciting pair that can help take Spurs to the very next level.
Spurs youngster reacts to Burton Albion loan move
Spurs youngster Jack Roles has signed for League One side Burton Albion as he eyes further development in his career.
The 21-year-old has signed a loan deal with the Brewers which will see him playing League One football at least until the new year after last season on loan at Cambridge United in League Two.
“I’m absolutely delighted to sign,” Roles told Burton’s official club website.
“I was at Cambridge last year and (this year) I wanted to test myself at the next level. I found out (about the move) yesterday after training and as soon as I knew I was over the moon.

“I drove up last night and then trained with the team this morning. It’s happened really fast but sometimes in football that’s good and you can then get on and do your thing on the pitch.
“I’m a midfielder who likes to make things happen, get in the box and score goals but I won’t be afraid to put my foot in and work hard for the fans and the manager.”
