The Welshman is set to complete a season-long loan move to Spurs and football.london understands there is an option for him to extend his stay into the 2021/22 campaign.
Of course, that is all dependant on having a successful 2020/21 season.

However, Los Blancos may have dropped the biggest hint yet that there’s is absolutely no way back for Bale at the Santiago Bernabeu, regardless of what happens at Spurs this season.
Before the 31-year-old’s loan deal was confirmed, the La Liga champions appear to have made a key decision that could affect the winger.
Now, as seen in the image below, Bale is still listed as Madrid’s number 11 on the club’s official website.

However, on the La Liga website, Bale’s squad number has changed to 25, with Marcos Asensio taking on the no.11.

Perhaps La Liga know something that Real Madrid supporters don’t and if so it’s a rather brutal decision from the club.
But it’s a decision that does make sense as Bale won’t be at the club this season.
