Aubameyang ends speculation by signing new contract
The striker, who finished last season as the club’s top scorer, has put pen to paper on a three year deal, with the player confirming his decision via a live stream from the Emirates Stadium.
“Arsenal fans, as you know, I’ve just signed da ting! It’s finally done, I’m really happy to be staying here. This is my home. It’s a great day, I hope you enjoy your day” the former Borussia Dortmund frontman said.
He added: “I signed da ting because I want to become Arsenal legend and to create a legacy.
“I will do my best as always. I just signed da ting. Hopefully you are happy, and hopefully I will see you in this beautiful stadium soon.”
The Gabon international struck his 55th Premier League goal for Arsenal in the weekend victory over Fulham, but still has some way to go before he matches Wright’s 128 league haul.
West Ham linked with £5m loan offer for Arsenal defender
West Ham United have been pushing for Burnley’s James Tarkowski as their main central defensive target, but now another man has emerged on their radar.
Arsenal’s Rob Holding was linked with a loan move to Newcastle United earlier this summer, only to then feature in the Gunners’ opening game against Fulham after an injury to David Luiz.
But with West Ham priced out of a deal for Tarkowski, the Sun reports they’re ready to pay £5 million to clinch a one-year loan deal for Holding.
The 24-year-old, who joined Arsenal from Bolton Wanderers in 2016, has been restricted to just 40 Premier League games due to a series of injury issues.
With Arsenal adding Gabriel and Pablo Mari to their defensive ranks this summer, and seeing William Saliba return from his loan at Saint-Etienne, they may decide they have enough defensive cover to let the Englishman move on for the season.

Brazilian midfielder Oscar has been playing his club football in China since leaving Chelsea in 2017, but two of his former Stamford Bridge teammates attempted to talk him into an Arsenal switch this summer.
However, Oscar quickly poured cold water on a switch due to the terms of his deal in Shanghai.

“They called me, they had to call me. Because we have good communication. Sometimes I talk to them. They said ‘come to Arsenal, come here’,” the 29-year-old told Fox Sports Brasil, via the Independent.
“But for me it’s a little more difficult. I have a contract with Shanghai, it’s a little more difficult to leave.’”
Oscar has scored 39 goals for Shanghai SIPG, helping them win the Chinese Super League in 2018.
His current deal runs until 2024.
