Jose Mourinho will be desperate to transform his team into one capable of challenging for the top four and beyond this season.;
But that doesn’t come without spending some money, and having already snapped up the likes of Matt Doherty, Pierre-EmileHojbjerg and Joe Hart, Spurs are expected to continue improving their squad ahead of the window shutting in early October.
With that in mind, we have rounded up all the Spurs-related rumours and gossip below.
Competition for Spurs defender Juan Foyth is heating up.
Fellow Premier League clubs Brighton and Leeds United have been tipped to make a move for the defender, but the interest doesn’t end there.
La Liga outfit Villarreal are now looking to land Foyth with former Arsenal boss Unai Emery keen to strengthen his back-line.
The sticking point, however, may be that the Yellows want Foyth on a permanent deal while Mourinho is understood to prefer a loan move.
Bournemouth want Carter-Vickers
Recently relegated Bournemouth are eyeing a move for Spurs defender Cameron Carter-Vickers.
According to Football Insider, the Cherries want to sign the defender on a loan deal.
It’s reported Carter-Vickers has been told to find a new club before the end of the window, despite featuring in pre-season.
Though, a loan move could be an issue given the 22-year-old is out of contract at the end of this season.
Philippe Coutinho will not be heading to Tottenham this summer.
Or at least that’s what Marca say, the Spanish outlet reporting Coutinho is no longer for sale this summer.
Boosted by the Lionel Messi news, Barcelona were said to be open to Coutinho’s departure.
That has seen the likes of Arsenal and Spurs linked, but it seems Barca have changed their mind and they now want to keep Coutinho.
