football.london previously revealed Bayern Munich had entered the race for the right-back, with Bellerin considering his future amid interest from Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain.
While there was nothing concrete to come for the reported meeting, Sport claim Barcelona learned any move would cost between 20 and 25 million euros.
Due to the current climate in football amid the coronavirus pandemic, the Spanish giants would be unable to shell out a fee of that much on the 25-year-old.
But Barca could use the out-of-favour Nelson Semedo as a way in.
Semedo’s future is up in the air at the Nou Camp, with Barcelona keen to offload him to a Premier League outfit – with Manchester City named as one option.
Should they receive a fee for the defender, it would reportedly open the door for a move for Bellerin.
On Bellerin, football.london reported earlier this month: “For Arsenal interest in Bellerin is equally problematic. When fit the Spaniard has been a regular starter for Mikel Arteta in the biggest games but were a bid to come in from the likes of Bayern it could offer the sort of cash injection that would allow the club to chase targets that would strengthen their head coach’s options in midfield.”
