Latest Tottenham transfer rumours: Habib Diallo wants transfer, Ivan Perisic opportunity

Tottenham will be desperate to improve on last season’s sixth-place finish in the Premier League.

Jose Mourinho will be preparing for his first full season in charge at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and will be aiming to get Spurs closer to the top four places.

Spurs have been busy trying to improve their squad – with Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Joe Hart and Matt Doherty all already being signed.

With that being said, it seems Spurs are still looking at other potential additions, as you can see in today’s rumour round-up.

Diallo interest

Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Metz striker Habib Diallo – and he is keen on a move to Spurs.

That is according to our man Alasdair Gold, who believes Tottenham’s top priority is now to sign a striker, having already brought in Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Joe Hart and Matt Doherty.

Diallo has two years left on his Metz deal, and he scored 12 goals and claimed three assists in 26 league games last season.

Spurs turn down chance to sign Ivan Perisic

Italian outlet Calciomercato are claiming that Tottenham have turned down the chance to sign Ivan Perisic this summer.

The report claims that the move would have seen record signing Tanguy Ndombele move in the opposite direction.

Jose Mourinho is on the record as an admirer of the Croatia international, who has returned to parent club Inter Milan after playing a key part in the treble won by Bayern Munich last season.

Aurier eyed

Bayer Leverkusen are looking to north London for a new right-back, with Serge Aurier emerging as a transfer target this summer.

The Frenchman has also been heavily linked with AC Milan and could be available for around £17m, according to a report by the Metro.

Spurs have signed Matt Doherty from Wolverhampton Wanderers, and he is expected to go straight into Jose Mourinho’s first team for the 2020/21 campaign.
