The Italy international, who arrived from AS Roma in January 2018, faces dropping even further down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge following the signing of Ben Chilwell from Leicester City last week.
Emerson was already regarded as back-up to Marcos Alonso last season, and was even overlooked in favour of club captain Cesar Azpilicueta at times.
Therefore the arrival of Chilwell effectively means he’s now the fourth-choice left-back at the club – a situation that must change if he’s to have any chance of making the Azzuri squad for next summer’s rescheduled European Championships.
Luckily for the 26-year-old there is interest in his services from Inter Milan, as confirmed by his agent
“It is possible he will leave Chelsea,” he told FCInter08. “I have not yet spoken to the club.
“All I can say is that there is interest from Inter in the player.
Should Inter sign Emerson he will be reunited with Antonio Conte who was the one who brought him to England over two years ago.
With that said, Goal claims the Blues are holding out for around £26m for the left-back him this summer as they hope to make a small profit from his sale having signed him for a reported £17.6m fee.
The potential £26m cash injection could help Chelsea fund other transfers.
Despite spending over £130m combined to bring in Chilwell, Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech, the Blues are still being linked with a £72m deal for Kai Havertz as well as a new goalkeeper.
Emerson is one of three players who could be sold to fund more reinforcements in this transfer window.

Blues boss Frank Lampard has already bolstered his defensive with the signings of Chilwell, Thiago Silva and Malang Sarr – the latter for the future – and outlined his transfer plans following the Champions League defeat by Bayern Munich.
“We have worked at it already,” he told BT Sport. “From having a transfer ban you feel the fact that other clubs have spent and improved and recruitment is a big part of this game.
“When you look through this team, nights like tonight in a footballing sense, show me a lot.
“The season has ended. It is a very quick turnaround but now is the time to see what areas we can improve.”
