Arsenal have been handed a boost in their pursuit of Roma midfielder Amadou Diawara.
The Express understand that the Serie A side have slapped a £27million price tag on the midfielder as they look to fund a summer spree of their own.
Arsenal have reportedly admitted defeat in a bid for Thomas Partey and will instead pursue Diawara.
Lucas Torreira could be sold back to Italy to help fund the transfer.

Kolasinac off to Italy?
While Mikel Arteta will be looking to bring in players who suit his vision for his Arsenal team, this inevitably means that some of the existing squad will be moving on.
One player who could be heading for an Emirates Stadium exit is Sead Kolasinac, with Kieran Tierney and Bukayo Saka both capable of playing left-back or left-wing-back.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport , the 27-year-old is of interest to Roma.
