Guendouzi handed warning over Arsenal exit
Matteo Guendouzi has been warned by former Arsenal defender Nigel Winterburn that he must make “huge improvements” if he is to secure an escape route out of the Emirates Stadium to Barcelona.
football.london revealed earlier this week that patience at Arsenal was wearing thin with Guendouzi, who has not taken up numerous opportunities to apologise to head coach Mikel Arteta for his recent conduct on and off the pitch.
Arsenal are now prepared to consider offers for the 21-year-old despite being acutely aware of the talent that prompted the likes of Paris Saint-Germain and Borussia Dortmund to rival them for his signature in 2018. Two years later several other top sides have been linked with Guendouzi, including Barcelona.
Arsenal can repeat Kieran Tierney transfer trick to sign Odsonne Edouard
At a time when true transfer market bargains have become increasingly difficult to find, Scotland remains one of the last talent pools in the game still to be fully explored. The country has provided a springboard to the likes of Virgil Van Dijk, Andy Robertson, Moussa Dembele and John McGinn in recent years, with Tierney also adding his name to that list.
Odsonne Edouard, for one, would be a shrewd addition for the Gunners and football.london understands the Gunners have scouted him extensively ahead of a transfer window in which he could act as a potential replacement for either Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang or Alexandre Lacazette.
The 22-year-old has flourished at Celtic since joining from Paris Saint-Germain three years ago, scoring 22 times in 27 Scottish Premiership appearances this season, and our man Graham Ruthven believes the Gunners can repeat their Kieran Tierney transfer trick to sign Edouard this summer.

According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal are pushing for an agreement with Atletico to seal the signing of Thomas Partey this summer.
A question was put to Romano by an Arsenal fan after the former issued an update on Chelsea’s pursuit of Kai Havertz.
He was asked if Arsenal had yet reached an agreement to seal a deal to land the midfielder.
Romano said in response: “Arsenal trying, yes. Agreement or something similar at the moment, no.”
