Although Spurs remain in the hunt for a Champions League spot, they have a lot of work to do, and Europa League looks to be their most likely destination.
That could have a big effect on their transfer business this summer though, with Mourinho looking to put his stamp on his side.
Here are the latest transfer rumours and gossip from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Ndombele could be sold
Tottenham could sell midfielder Tanguy Ndombele to raise funds for this summer.
That’s according to the Express, who say the £53m 2019 summer signing could already be headed for the exit door.
Ndombele has made 27 appearances across all competitions in his first year with Spurs.
Though, Mourinho is said to hold a less than favourable view of the midfielder despite denying claims of a bust-up.
Spurs eye Crystal Palace youngster
Spurs are reportedly eyeing a move for Crystal Palace youngster Tyrick Mitchell.
According to The Athletic, Mitchell, who has been on trial with Tottenham previously, has impressed for the Eagles’ under-21s this season.
And his performances are said to have caught the eye of Spurs’ recruitment staff.
Mitchell is a 20-year-old left-back who has been with Palace since his move from Brentford in 2016.
Lucas Moura could be offered up in swap deal for Milik
Mourinho could part ways with Lucas Moura in order to get his man this summer.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Spurs are very keen on Napoli star Arkadiusz Milik, so much so that they might be willing to give up Moura to land the Poland international.
Milik has turned down a new contract offer at Napoli with just one year remaining on his contract.

That could see him leave Italy for a cheaper price, but even that could be beyond Spurs depending on the financial impact coronavirus has on the club.
If indeed a move is beyond their means, Tottenham could offer Brazilian winger Moura in order to bring in Milik, according to the report.
Moura has been with Spurs since his £25m move from PSG in 2018. The 27-year-old has scored 14 times in 66 league appearances since.
