The Gunners have made early business by securing Cedric Soares and Pablo Mari to permanent deals following their loans, while David Luiz has been issued a one-year extension to his deal.
However, Bentley suggests that Luiz should be among the players Arsenal look to sell this summer, along with Mesut Ozil, to raise funds for incoming business.
That’s not all though, as he states that half the squad need to be offloaded but he is unsure whether such drastic action would be approved by the club’s hierarchy.
“I don’t know what the thinking is at boardroom level because Arsenal need to ship out half the team and get a good core in. That’s difficult but can be done.
“The major problem is that we don’t know if they’re singing from the same hymn sheet at boardroom level.”
